From the junction under the Mittler Eggstock, descend slightly south of the gap (2358 m) before the Hinter Eggstock, then turn right/west towards the (very) repellent looking rock wall and follow this steeper and steeper upwards. The crux, being somewhat overhanging, requires a positively spirited outlook; one more passage higher up is also excellently exposed. Continue more easily to the finish at the eastern summit of the Hinter Eggstocks (2436 m).
