Route description The Rigidalstockgrat is a K3-rated via ferrata on the modest but scenic Rigidalstock (2593 m) above Engelberg, offering a moderately challenging yet well-equipped climb with fine summit views. It complements an easier K2 route on the same peak, allowing the two to be combined into a rewarding circular tour.

From the Brunnihütte chairlift station, follow the white-blue-white marked trail up a stony slope into the hollow beneath the Schonegg. Turn right (southeast) to reach the grassy ridge, continue over the rise of Uf den Stucklenen (2188 m), then cross scree and boulders to the loose slabs below Rigidalstock's south ridge (about 2360 m), where the via ferrata begins.

From a narrow ledge, follow the cable up a steep groove—the technical crux—to reach the ridge. Continue along the easier ridge to the base of the summit wall, then climb steeper compact slabs aided by iron rungs. Traverse left across loose scree, negotiate a series of zigzags, and finish along the summit ridge to the cross on Rigidalstock (2593 m).
