Route description This K5- via ferrata climbs the impressive west wall of the Rubli above Rougemont, opened by mountain guide Kobi Reichen in 2002. Roughly 400 metres long with 180 metres of height gain, it offers sustained difficulty on overhanging rock and airy traverses. The route gets afternoon sun and is reasonably easy to follow, taking about 1½ hours to climb.

From La Videmanette, reach the saddle at point 2121, where the starts of routes 1 and 2 are located. For route 3, descend a short distance from the saddle on the north side to find the start on the right.

The route begins with a short descending traverse from the saddle before reaching a ladder and a striking waterfall chimney. Ledges then lead across to the true west wall, where an overhanging traverse gives way to a steep, bar-assisted ascent. After an overhanging final section, broken grassy ground leads to the west summit, from which the east summit can be reached without further difficulty.
