The start is rather easy, leading over slabby rock steps to a vertical, 3 metre high ladder. Steep, but well secured, it continues, sometimes on artificial steps, before the route crosses a grass band rightwards to the first highlight: the two-cable bridge to the "Eagle's Nest". It leads sketchily over to a slightly overhanging pillar, which you climb on iron rungs, first right then, making a daring step, left of the edge. The crux can also be bypassed (at K3). Continue (less steep) along a rock rib (resting place with bench). On the upper edge of a mighty rock, clearly visible from the valley, the iron leads to the right where the second "Pièce de résistance" of the route, the steel net, awaits (route book). Stretched in front of a striking overhang; it can be climbed on both sides. After this artistic contribution, things continue more conventionally. Cross a gully to the so-called "black slab", which leads to a broad ledge. Some final, shorter rock steps lead to the top (ca. 2170 m, 1¾ hrs.). Take time to enjoy the beautiful view to the south towards the Bernina group. There's also a Ferrata on Piz Trovat.
